What is the recommended update path for mitigating the BadLock vulnerability?

Should we just go to the command-line and do a “yum update samba*” or will the “Software Update” GUI provide these updates?
I used “yum update” via SSH to update my nas. 
Worked flawlessly.
I ran a “Yum update samba”, and it went perfect, everything seems to work afterwards.
