I am migrating my “old” ubuntu server and its 6TB of data on 12TB of disk space. This means freeing up one disk, add the disk to a rockstor managed disk/pool and move the data from one to the other.
Especially the process of moving data from an exising (whatever file format disk) to a rockstor managed disk/pool would be nice to accomplish over the WebUI.
Mark a newly discovered disk and hit a button which copies or moves all the data from one side to an existing pool using “rsync” or any other appropriate tool in the background.
This would make migration easier and also allows people to easily put new disks in there, fetch the data and than use the disk with rockstor.
