Unknown internal error doing a POST to /api/sm/services/smb/start

Rockstor 3.9.2-57

All shares became unavailable, as happens on occasion. I rebooted and the SMB service did not restart.

All shares show that they are not “unmounted” but when I try to manually start SMB from GUI, I get
“Unknown internal error doing a POST to /api/sm/services/smb/start”

We’re dead in the water here, so this is urgent, any advice?

Apparently, I’m too impatient. I’m now told that there’s a BTRFS check against all shares before SMB starts. I was able to start it from the cli (systemctl start smb), which I had tried before but I thought it had hung as no response after a couple of minutes. Tried again and it’s working.
