ReadyNAS user for over 10 years (first with a Duo, and currently a 314 4x8TB.

Looking to build my own NAS with open-source OS for more control.

Primary OS: Ubuntu desktop.
(Have tried PC-BSD while it lasted, then FreeBSD, but never felt 100% confident in it)
