rockstor is the best…
Rockstor currently runs a bit of an older kernel, device support will depend on the exact revision of the card. Looks like the earliest automatic support for some versions of the chip is about kernel 4.11, though Asus’ own website has a driver download for Linux kernel: 4.4, 4.2, 3.6, 3.2 (Rockstor appears to be on 4.12).
Can you post the output of lspci -nn
with the card plugged in?
Ethernet controller: Aquantia Corp. AQC107 NBase-T/IEEE 802.3bz Ethernet Controller [AQtion] (rev 02)
AQrate speeds (2.5/5 Gb/s) will be displayed only with linux kernels > 4.10.
i hope will be help
can you gave me the command line, i will try it in the terminal of rockstor,
That’s the where command I mentioned comes in. Run this on rockstor with the card inserted:
lspci -nn
On my system is gives the output of
03:00.0 Ethernet controller [0200]: Broadcom Inc. and subsidiaries NetXtreme BCM5720 2-port Gigabit Ethernet PCIe [14e4:165f]
We need that last part eg. [14e4:165f] to know the exact revision of your card. Don’t know if I have the knowledge to help more than that, but it should help others narrow down the requirements.
ok thanks alot for your help… i will look at it
ok, i see info
01:00.0 Ethernet controller [0200]: Aquantia Corp. AQC107 NBase-T/IEEE 802.3bz Ethernet Controller [AQtion] [1d6a:07b1] (rev 02)
