You were totally right in the sense, that I delivered some opinions without citations.
And the way I presented them could and would mislead many people.
I hope my message got clearer: don’t use RAID 5/6 for space and redundancy
and RAID is not Backup, there are build-in features to handle this (‘remote’ snapshots)
I’ll try not to do same mistakes again, and I will continue on this topic, as soon as I will find time.
Also, I should take care and not mix up stuff from ZFS and BTRFS…
Kernel 4.12 will (again) bring some fixes for BTRFS RAID 5/6.
