I would like a bash script to sync a share with a remote…simple use case.

Actually Rockstor doesn’t support user custom scripts via web ui, but you can always manage it via shell like you would do on any linux box!
Rockstor contributors are conscious of these needs (custom scripts scheduling and shell access via web ui) and will provide them asap, meanwhile, as i already told, you can manage it via shell
