Is it possible *not* to mount snapshots by default?

Hello,

I have observed, that snapshots are automatically mounted by default.
I think this is dangerous in view of ransomware. I would like to make snapshots visible only in Rockstor, not via Samba.
Furthermore, I am unable to tell my backup-software to ommit the .snapshot folders.

Is it possible to change this?

totally agree with you and obviously Rockstor has hidden snapshots :wink:

Edit your scheduled task and remove flag from “Make snapshots visible” (see image): this will move .snapshots to and higher level not accessible by samba users
