I have not tried it on that particular machine, but the Alder Lake CPU should not be an issue by itself. If the system doesn’t require special drivers, etc. I tend to agree with you that it’s likely not a problem, but you’re also looking for real-world proof.
The listed Red Hat (or its upstream Fedora version) compatibility is probably closer to OpenSUSE than CentOS.
