It seems that utilizing kubernetes with docker would provide a lot more functionality and allow Rockstor to leverage a mature community that already exists. This would require linking shares to persistent volumes and persistent volume claims, but, would allow Rockstor to actually expand into multiple nodes where the rockons could scale or run on either node. If the rockon page was just an abstraction of the kubernetes GUI or just a page that makes API calls to kubernetes, this would really make the docker addon much more powerful. Origin is another project that adds on top of kubernetes and both are open source.
Has there been any thought into going that route?
