So with all my issues with the ASRock AM1B-M AM1 onboard LAN, I think I’m just going to look at getting a different motherboard and CPU if needed. There is very limited options for Socket AM1 so I was thinking about going to a Intel i3-4330 Haswell? The only thing is that it seems like every motherboard has a Realtek onboard LAN card?
What is the hardware some of you have out of the box success with?
Thats a great question @ScottyEdmonds. I am planning to put together a recommended hardware matrix in the docs. I have some(just a few, IIRC) recommendations from users over last year or so that I’ll put together.
Everyone, please reply to this post with the hardware that’s working of you and I’ll add it to the matrix.
I’m running an ECS NM70-i2 motherboard with included Celeron CPU; the newer iteration of the board that Suman posted about on the blog. Everything runs fine (including the Realtek ethernet).
I’ll be replacing it with an ASRock C2550D4I though (got a deal!).
