Yesterday, when I added the Rockstor update stream to my RSS, I finally realized my subscription had ended last year. I went and purchased another and switched it in the appman portal and it’s showing active.
Side Note: I use this with the Rockon Plex / Tautuli
Can someone please help or guide me on how to get my system up to date the safest/correct way? Is there anything I need to do with the Rockons?
I do have this entire NAS backed up to a backup NAS, including plex config, etc. so my data is safe.
From your zypper lr -Uoutput, you look to be on a Leap 15.4 base OS. This is now EOL, as is the successor Leap 15.5.
Assuming the Stable subscription is active, as you update the entire system with the following guides, you should simultaneously get the latest compatible ‘rockstor’ package accordingly.
You will have to complete each of the following How-to guides in order:
You can see from our Downloads page that 4.6.1-0 was the latest Stable version available for both Leap 15.4 (your current) & 15.5. But during the second of the above guides you can expect the built-in ‘rockstor’ package to also update to our latest of 5.1.0-0.
It is important to not skip the first How-to. It is a requirement for the second to work as intended.
They should be unaffected by the above changes. Assuming you execute all of the suggested reboots within each of the above How-to guides. These are important as you are changing the entire OS twice, so it is a requirement to do full reboots when the guides suggest. And not otherwise :).
Hope that helps, and thanks for your continued support of our non-profit endeavour.
