Hi all,
I’ve installed RockStor on a spare server in our environment for testing purposes. We use mainly OS X Server Open Directory for our authentication into clients and existing NAS devices. I see that RockStor supports both Active Directory and LDAP; does anyone know how I would go about connecting the RockStor install to Open Directory and adding users from our existing network authentication server so that they can login to the NAS using their existing accounts? I’ve read a few post regarding how to setup the connection to the server, but when I enter the credentials, and hit the switch, it doesn’t seem to be doing anything, and the switch remains red.
Would I use LDAP or Active Directory for this?
