Newbie here at rockstor. Finding it great so far!
Can’t get S.M.A.R.T. information to show for any of my drives. The smart switch is on for all drives and it doesn’t say there are any issues. I click on my drives, but all tabs are empty.
I drop into a console and run these commands,
smartctl --health /dev/sda
smartctl --all /dev/sda
It works with no trouble for all my drives, and I don’t have to specify any options to get that working.
Scanned disks again and looked in log file as I have seen mentioned. Nothing in there.
I have an HP core 2 duo machine and seagate drives. Nothing strange about my hardware.

@petermc Welcome to the Rockstor community.
I’m assuming here that you have run into a messaging / usability bug we have had for a while on these screens. The good news however is that it has recently been addressed in the testing channel updates and so should be in the next stable release:
I can’t remember the last time we released 2 updates in one day, which makes 3.9.1-10 special! @phillxnet contributed two enhancements, one is an improvement in SMART messaging and the other is a nice fix to share/pool mount behaviour. Enjoy the update!
and the issue was:
https://github.com/rockstor/rockstor-core/issues/1435
The update adds a subtitle on those pages that clarifies their use/function (ie the Refresh button):
Prior to the initial Refresh it should now read:
and on subsequent views:
Hope that helps.

I see. The refresh button is off to the side.
Refreshing shows the S.M.A.R.T. information as expected. Excellent. Thanks.
