After creating several shares for a new Rock-on, I started setting up several scheduled tasks for making snapshots for all these shares. While the process for scheduling one task is very simple and straightforward, I’m usually setting up two to three or more snapshot tasks per share (daily, then weekly, then monthly snapshot of one share), for instance, and this can quickly become quite cumbersome and repetitive when it needs to be repeated over several shares.
I was therefore wondering whether this could be simplified with, for instance:
- Selecting multiple shares when creating a task
- Selecting multiple schedules for one task at the same task (for instance, one could create a first schedule with “every hour”, then click a button to add another scheduled at weekly, and so on and so forth).
I have no idea of how doable this would be, so please consider these as rough thoughts…
