[SOLVED] Not using downloaded repomd.xml because it is older than what we have

Rockstor is driving me crazy today with an email every hour sounding like this:

/etc/cron.hourly/0yum-hourly.cron:

Not using downloaded repomd.xml because it is older than what we have:
Current : Sun May 14 23:27:47 2017
Downloaded: Sat May 13 04:08:57 2017

How do I fix / stop this?

Hi @KarstenV,
you can try a yum clean all then perform updates again

Mirko

Thanks.

The error seemed to fix itself during the day, not receiving hourly mails anymore

But I’ll try to remember your helpfull post if the problem shows up again.

Getting the same, so will try the above. But can we build a process to fix this without the operator going to the shell? I don’t think messing with the OS is safe for some users.

/etc/cron.hourly/0yum-hourly.cron:
