I have started to work on a spider oak rockon, at the moment i am running it through a vnc interface with novnc.
I haven’t been able to fully test it as i have had a harddrive crash which trashed my btrfs filesystem. I will get around to it at some point, but in the meantime i thought i could post it in case somebody was interested.
I agree, but until i find the time, if ever, to create a web gui or something i think it will be easier to follow whats happening and change the settings using the gui.
I think it is important to be able to follow the status of the backup, worst thing that could happen is that it stops backing up without my knowledge. So adding some monitoring is also on the agenda.
Maybe once i have sorted out the state of my data i might create a new version with only command line.
Awesome idea! I currently have SpiderOak run in batchmode nightly and output a log file so I can check on it if needed. It works just fine, but being able to have it integrated through a rock-on would be nice.
