I would like to ask for help.
Recently I add to my pool 2 new drives and balance it. However, after the system start freezing during writting. It did not happed before. The balance took more than 2 weeks, and also some updates were instaled (OS, kernel, …).
I am running system of 8x8TB SMR drives (I know there are discussed but they work perfektly fine in 6 drive raid6 configuration (write 120mb/s). Now , it is 8x8TB raid6, without any extra mount option, with compression (using it as archive).
The problem exactly is when I start copying on the system after few sec. the processes jump to 100% CPU and whole transfer freeze (or slow down on few kb/s). The most active processes are kworker and also copying tool (rsync or cp). After I stop process it is still freezed for 10min in case of rsync but in case of cp it unfreeze immedietly.
The read is much slower than before (20-40mb/s) but it did not freeze.
I am big newbie and really dont know what to test check or do. So I would like to humbly ask for help. If any more information would help I will be glad to supply them.
