System Time wrong zone in 3.8-14.04

I have the same issue as KarstenV. System Time in webui is the wrong zone:
[root@nas ~]# timedatectl
Local time: Mon 2016-07-11 10:56:23 BST
Universal time: Mon 2016-07-11 09:56:23 UTC
RTC time: Mon 2016-07-11 09:56:23

But Rockstor shows time: System Time: 04:56 (-0500 CDT), should be 10:56.

I havent had time to look into this problem yet.

Someone suggested it could be fixed via the command line / terminal.

I distinctly remember choosing the country during setup, but perhaps thats only for selecting keybord / screen language?

Hi @KarstenV & @grizzly, that sounds really strange to me.

Here is a screenshot of my system time via Rockstor webui and timedatectl from a shell, and with date i get same time too

@Flyer As a little background on this I also got the same reading as indicated by @KarstenV in their devlog post and @grizzly in this thread ie the displayed “System Time” was (-0500 CDT) but I like @grizzly am in BST, but pretty sure @KarstenV isn’t in BST.

So it looks like directly after this update all “System Time” displays are giving out the time in (-0500 CDT).

However after a reboot your fancy new “System Time” feature on a test system I just looked at here now displays (+0100 BST) as expected. Thanks for this feature by the way.

My relevant timedatactl output:

[root@cube ~]# timedatectl
Local time: Mon 2016-07-11 14:30:37 BST
Universal time: Mon 2016-07-11 13:30:37 UTC
        RTC time: Mon 2016-07-11 13:30:37
       Time zone: Europe/London (BST, +0100)

So in summary a reboot did it for me. Hope that helps to know what’s going on here.

Yes Phil, reboot fixed for me too. Nice feature Flyer, makes Rockstor more OS-like.
