Update 4.6.1 to current version

Current system is active for the stable upgrades. Have tried to upgrade through web, yast2, and appman - but so far they all fail. yast 2 updates the configuration but the interactive interface does not execute.

I believe theres some screwery with the in place upgrade? Like 4.6.1 wont do it through the interface and is in fact waiting on a further iteration than whats currently available.

I had the same question a while back let me see if i can find it in my emails

edit: i believe it was the upstream kernel changes that havent been accounted for.

I ended up just reinstalling from scratch anyway as i was going through a NAS mobo change

@Forest Hello again. Re:

That is our latest Stable rpm. And as @Warbucks intimates we’ve had a recent delay in releasing the next Stable on all supported Leap and TW versions (Slowroll hopefully also), and needed to get this fixed before the next Stable to avoid the next Stable rpm then having update issues there-after.

The issue we are currently sorting is that we still used DNF for pending changelogs: but the fix is underway and we are again heading for the next stable as soon as all is first presented to testing for final wider proof before we embark on the subsequent testing phase - after finally publishing the successor to 4.6.1-0.

There should be no problem in changing to the testing channel and installing what is current there (late RC candidate), however it may soon be early testing which will not be tested for in-place updates via Web-UI: which 4.6.1 to 5.0.15-0 is. However if there is no rush you should wait until the next testing is out. Also ensure you have sufficiently new enough Leap, i.e. see the table at the top of the:

@Warbucks Re:

Yes, we have some of this in Tumbleweed & Slowroll plus some repo work but we have already begun working on these. However TW/Slowroll is still a little more janky than our Leap offerings. And the next testing phase should help with those ‘loose’ bits that ultimately mean more page refresh requirements and the odd reboot requirement to reset things! But late Leap is looking good with Leap 15.6 our current focus.

Hope that helps.

Sounds good to me! Im just using my NAS for local media and remote tailscale file access. Which has been working great!
