I’m still on an old version of Rockstor v3.9.2-57 and I’m trying to get things cleaned up to migrate to the current version.

I’m trying to set share ownership and permissions per the GUI but get errors.

Can I do it via the CLI instead?

Yes, you should be able to, since the GUI essentially exposes the underlying CLI.
