After upgrade to -14 rockon service is unable to start

Brief description of the problem

After upgrade to -14 rockon service is unable to start. Tried rebooting etc … nothing.

Detailed step by step instructions to reproduce the problem

upgrade from -9 to -14. (only have a synchthing and zneminder, nothing shared via samba etc)

Morning @Tomasz_Kusmierz can you please go under services tab and edit the config of the Rock-ons from there, and pick the rockons share you specified for all of your rockons. then enable Rockons from there

Will try tomorrow - still it’s a) regression b) btrfs corruption that damaged a config … either way I’ll have to look into it … fun part is that this server holds all samba shares … (I have backups, still down time and me trying to interview some candidates and sort out this is not helping)

/opt/rockstor/var/log directory may have useful logs
systemctl status -l docker also should have some information about docker we can work with.

My systems are all fine, btw. Anyone else have this problem?

@suman my system is working fine, I had something similar to this because the rockons weren’t configured from the service tab. I had to go there and select the rockon share, then it started fine with no issues.

I’ve checked logs in the folder … but there is nothing that can actually point towards docker … if you want I can upload all the files ( I tried to dump the grep “” * but this portal crashed )

Ok, this is useful. docker service depends on rockstor service. My guess is one of the rockstor services is stuck. This will give you more info systemctl status -l rockstor-pre rockstor rockstor-bootstrap

It seems the rockstor service took >30 seconds to start up. But that is too long for rockstor-bootstrap. See if you can restart it – systemctl restart rockstor-bootstrap If that starts fine, docker should too. But I suspect something might be wrong here.
