Brief description of the problem

I’m trying to install Rockstor via Ventoy. I’m getting to the step for selecting a drive. No matter which drive I select, I’m getting this error: Failed to mount install squashfs filesystem. I would appreciate any hints at what could be wrong, or how can I change the default CLI commands to solve this.

@shoomow welcome to the Rockstor community. I have not tested the installation using Ventoy, only rufus or balena etcher (as described in the documentation). Unfortunately, I also don’t have any hardware available currently where I could test out Ventoy.

Looking at the available options, do you have secure boot disabled?
Other things to look at
Partition style is set to MBR
Partition Configuration is set to Fat32

With respect to the hardware, can you give a bit of detail on what you’re attempting to install to? Are your drives connected via USB?

And finally, for any of the drives you select, I assume you have wiped them as per the
