I was hoping to use multiple instances of Deluge to separate my torrent traffic by tracker as after a few months it usually fills up to 1000+ torrents each. I think the torrent client will be better able to handle thousands of torrents if they are each responsible for fewer torrents. It would be convenient for me to do this all on the NAS as there are a lot of extra resources available and it will save me from having more VMs running in ESXi.
