Can you provide more details on what you were trying to do? I assume, you used the installer version or did you install Rockstor on top of a vanilla OpenSUSE instance?
Maybe you can check dmesg and journalctl -xe at the command line to see whether one of the Rockstor relevant services failed at startup, therefore not allowing the api call to be successfully completed.
I was trying to create a pool with two raid 5 images, however after restarting it actually created the pool and is working well. I have opted to abandon this build due to other issues not related to rockstor.
