Brief description of the problem

One of my drives causes my NAS to just go dead all the time.
(bad leaf)
Unfortunately, I do have a “new” harddrive in there that should work, but I don’t know how to replace the bad one with the new one, so I decided to just kick it out of the array.
Then this happened…
What can I do? the data on the NAS is insanely important to me and I need it back ASAP.

Detailed step by step instructions to reproduce the problem

Well… kill a drive, then remove that drive from the array trough the Web-UI

Error Traceback provided on the Web-UI

Well... there is no Traceback provided

just fix the issue, all data is lost already

I have seen this error to.

I’m in the progress of replacing drives with bigger ones in order to be able to convert my pool from RAID6 to RAID1.

It looks like things went wrong, but if I Telnet into the Rockstor, and run “btrfs fi sh” I can see that the disk is actually actively being removed. As you can see in my screenshot. Its the /dev/sdf that is being removed.

So the error is a false error, or whatever it should be called.

Hmm… ah okay.
thanks for the info, now I know that for next time.
