Our last updates for the CentOS v3 variant were as follows:

• Last Testing Channel release (3.9.1-16) - November 2017
• Last Stable channel released (3.9.2-57) - April 2020

So it would be advisable to transition to the new “Built on openSUSE” variant. You can build your own installer via the following instructions repository/instructions:

GitHub - rockstor/rockstor-installer: The kiwi-ng configuration used to create Rockstor...

And we hope to update the website soon with download instructions. But building your own installer is a particularly useful feature that may appeal.

You can import your existing pool and config if this is not a new install. See the following forum thread for some recent adventures in this area:

Rockstor 4 Installation

I am struggling a little bit to get the new v4 installed. I have installed openSUSE with LEAP 15.3 onto my PC and that is working fine. I have followed the instructions on the Github page and have created the rockstor-installer directory. There is a file rockstor.kiwi in that folder - my understanding is that is the equivalent of an ISO file. What do I need to do now to get rockstor actually installed? Apologies if this is obvs - I am relatively new to this
